A message from our 2016 event chair - Carole Sheets. 

Thanks to all 75+ who participated in the 2016 EBC Holiday Toy Ride. The success of these events are dependent on our volunteers and participants - and we had plenty. I would personally like to thank our shoppers, ware house crew, set-up, registration, coffee run and clean up crew - Pat Massey, Sue Kawalerski, Beatriz Portela, Madelin, Anna Hernandez, Al & Marsha Brown, Angel Pendas, Dora Suarez, Glora Batule and Pepe Gonzalez. Thank you to our ride leaders for getting a route that everyone seemed to enjoy and for your continuous service to the club. St. Stephens is so appreciative of our efforts to help bring joy to 285 kids in need. This event donated a retail value of $1,800 of Toys, 10 bicycles/helmets donated by members for value of $600, $70 of gift cards, over $1,500 in cash/checks and the toys donated at registration. I would also would like to thank our members like Barry Bassingthwaighte, Chicho & Helen Gomez and others who could not ride today, but stopped by to make a donation. Special thanks to Mack Cycle for assisting with 8 bike helmets, ToysrUs on U.S. 1 for their assistance and for Starbucks on US 1 for donating the coffee everyone enjoyed this morning. Team Sindacato and TSR - your support is always appreciated. Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday Season and safe rides.

EBC thanks Carole for chairing this year's ride.  Carole did a fantastic job maximizing our giving for the kids.

Admission fee to ride:

$20.00 minimum donation in cash/check or an unwrapped, new toy or gift for children infant to 17 years old. Gift Cards (think Movies, Target, Best Buy, Gap, etc.) are especially appreciated for the teenagers.

Everglades Bike Club is matching all donations up to $1,000.!!!

All proceeds go to St. Stephens Episcopal Parish, Aids Outreach Ministry for distribution to needy children in the Miami areas, Coconut Grove, Homestead, Perrine and Cutler Ridge, areas. Twice as many children need our help this year. Please make this holiday a special one for all the needy children and young adults in our community.

Refreshments will be donated by EBC and Starbucks and will be served before and after the ride (all toy and cash donations due the morning at ride start please). There will be four ride levels for the Toy Ride. Bring the family; bring a friend, partner or spouse to this festive charity event! Most importantly bring cash, check, a gift card or a toy!!
