EBC Annual BBQ Picnic & Beach Party

The EBC Annual BBQ picnic will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne this year. 


The day starts at 8:15AM.  Enter the the park at the North Beach Entrance into Parking Lot #2. Go to the far right of the parking lot closest to the beach.  That's where we'll be setting up registration and organizing our rides.  We will be picnicing at Pavilion #12. 


Join in on one of these great rides!

    • 18+ group will get started around 8:30AM and will be led by Juan Alban and Arpad Hevisi in a specially designed route with emphasis on getting in some mileage.
    • 15-17 group will depart at 8:45 AM and will be led by Sue Kawalarski and Ruben Fuentes taking you through some of Miami's most scenic areas.
    • New Beginner Ride will roll out at 8:45 AM and will be led by Tom Burton and Mary Beth Garcia.  The ride will include Key Biscayne Village, Hobie Beach csway and Virginia Key.
    • Family Ride will roll out at 9:00AM and will tour Crandon Park and Key Biscayne at a leisurely touring pace for parents and children over 8 years old
      All riders will return to Crandon Park at 11:00AM where you can grab a cold drink and enjoy the scenery.  Cabanas are nearby for a quick clean-up after your ride.  Then there's the food!  We'll have BBQ catered by Sparky's (voted the best new BBQ in Miami and one of the best in America in 2013 by Parade Magazine) with Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jerk Chicken and Vegetarian Burgers finished off with their famous Banana Cream Pie.  


      Our Club meeting will begin after Lunch. We will be presenting the 2014 EBC Snowbird Century charity benefactors "My Animals Rock" & "Voices for Children Foundation, Inc"  with our donation, in support of our community.  It is because of you, EBC members and volunteers, that we have been around since 1976 and is still going strong, supporting our community through cycling.  


       The meeting should be over quickly so we can go on with our festivities of FUN and SUN!        Bring your picnic blankets, shorts, T-shirts, bikinis and hula skirts...friends, kids, spouses...it is fun day out for the whole family!  We can't wait to see you there!
