Conversation with my auto & home insurer

I am insured with USAA. Last week I discussed my coverage with one their its representatives. She said that my bicycles are insured under my homeowners policy for damages or loss arising from intentional theft or a third party's negligence.
She also said that the automobile policy provisions of Uninsured Motorist will cover my wife and I if injured because of the negligence of the driver of a vehicle. This coverage applies if we on on a bicycle as well as on foot or in a vehicle. PIP and medical payment provisions will cover us as well regardless of the vehicle's driver's negligence.
I do not know if the terms of the USAA insurance policies are the same as your insurance company's, but it is worth checking out.

I'm the new guy. I ride a Strada bent at most any pace and would like to join you all soon.

My interests include all events, health and safety, good company, adventure, and promotion of bike awareness
by all government agencies.

I ride as a full time commuter and am totally aware of the perils of our streets.

USA Cycling News Headlines: Johnson, Compton Earn Cyclo-cross National Calendar Titles

USA Cycling has recognized Tim Johnson and Katie Compton as the overall winners of the 2007 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Racing Calendar. Following the conclusion of the 38-event calendar at the Urban Cyclo-Cross competition in Irvine, Calif. on January 19, Johnson earned 512 points on the menandrsquo;s side, while Compton garnered 310 to take the top spot for the women. Johnson took a commanding overall calendar victory, 131 points ahead of second-place Barry Wicks, while Compton unseated last yearandrsquo;s winner and this yearandrsquo;s third-place finisher Lynn Bessette who earned 200 points.
