Looking to get back into cycling? Want to bike with a group, learn group cycling safety etiquette, or simply socialize and stay fit on your bike? EBC has group rides every Saturday departing
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the ride begins. For special events, we may stagger the start times so that all groups can arrive around the same time, regardless of speed or distance.
GROUP A (20-24 PACE) – Leaderless and drop ride.
Destination: La Casita. Miles: about 60
For the most advanced riders able to ride at faster speeds and longer distances.
GROUP B (18-20 PACE) – Leaderless and no-drop ride.
Destination: Gould. Miles: about 50
For advanced riders who are ready to take their riding to the next level and want to enjoy the faster pace and longer distance.
GROUP C (16-18 PACE) – With ride leader and no-drop ride.
Destination: Blackpoint Marina. Miles: about 34For intermediate riders.
GROUP D (14-16 PACE) – With ride leader and no drop ride.
Destination: Deering Estates. Miles: about 20
Rides designed for newer cyclists. Safety rules for safety, and Group riding etiquette is introduced and then reinforced during the rides.
Note: Be sure to check EBC Hub (Facebook page) at 6:00am in the event of a weather cancellation.
We endeavor to provide two ride leaders for Groups C & D but this cannot be guaranteed. If there are two ride leaders, one ride leader is in the front leading the group and one in the back sweeping. Our ride leaders are volunteer EBC members who have attended a training class for safe cycling.
