Ride Description
The
2016 Roland Mazzotti Snowbird Century starts at 7:30 am. It is one of EBC's most popular annual events
attracting over 600 riders every year. Best supplied rest stops - 5 of them! Plenty
of water, sports drinks, fruit, snacks and more. SAG provided by local bike
shops, as well as roaming SAG on the route. Well marked routes. Afterwards, join us back at the start for a delicious catered lunch, including more water, sports drinks, sodas and free beer. No fundraising required. We ride for fun and we ride
to support our community.
30 Mile Family Fun Ride This is the perfect distance for the touring rider, the beginning cyclist, or those of you just getting back in the saddle. Even if you are experienced, but just have limited time to get in a great ride (like having to get home to do chores), this is a good option. The rest stop included is at Phil's Berry Farm.
40 Mile Ride
Back by popular demand! We are offering an intermediate ride for a fun
day out on the bike with your family and friends. Make a day of it and
see picturesque South Dade countryside by bike!. Two rest stops are included, Phil's Berry Farm and Homestead Bayfront park where you can experience beautiful views of Biscayne Bay.
62 Mile Metric Century
For those a little more ambitious. Metric century riders will accompany
the century riders through the scenic and rural Homestead, Florida City, Redland areas and the edge of the Everglades. Rest stops include Phil's Berry Farm, Kingswood Montessori Academy, and Plaza Licenciado Benito Juarez Park. An additional treat is riding out the AeroJet road, normally closed to the public, and checking out the stop at the AeroJet base.
100 Mile Century BEST VALUE !!
For those that are looking for the ultimate challenge. Century riders
will visit the extremes of South Miami-Dade County as listed in the Metric above. You will to be on the
edge of the Everglades when you visit the same rest stops listed in the Metric Century including the secluded Aerojet base-normally closed to the public. Plus century riders will get a beautiful view of Biscayne Bay at the rest stop in Homestead/Bayfront Park.

The Alzheimer's Association, Southeast Florida Chapter's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Locally the Alzheimer's association is committed to helping the families in 7 counties: Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The Chapter advances efforts for researching a cure through fundraising. This organization provides support and educational services to more than 150,000 persons with Alzheimer's disease and their families and caregivers locally.
The Roland Mazzotti Snowbird Century is one of EBC's most popular events. Named after the late Roland Mazzotti, beloved by his colleagues and fellow members for his down to earth humor, love of all things cycling, and dedication to EBC. We honor the memory of Roland with this ride each year. We have something for everyone, experienced road cyclists can choose from the 100 mile century or 62 mile metric century. Or have fun cycling with your family or friends on our 40 mile route. The 30 mile route allows beginners and touring cyclists an excellent option. Come out and ride with us! Proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
