EBC LEADER-LED SPICE RIDE "STICKY BUN RIDE" 16-18, 18-20, 20-22, FROM PONCE MIDDLE SCHOOL

THIS WEEK'S REGULAR SATURDAY MORNING EBC LEADER-LED RIDE IS A "SPICE RIDE"    *** BLACK JERSEY ***

SPICE RIDE DESCRIPTION:

Its Sticky Bun Spice Time this Saturday with EBC for EBC cyclists .  Our 14-16 group will leave out of Deering, 16+ groups will leave out of Ponce Middle School. Ponce start will be  7:30 as usual  --- Please arrive by 7:20 so we can leave right after the tutorial!  Deering Start will be at 8:00AM, please arrive by 7:45.

As a reminder all pace-lines will detour through Deering Estate both going and returning.  

The rest stop  will be at Castellow Hammock Park nearby Knaus Berry Farm where we will have access to bio/water break. An EBC representative will arrive at Knaus Berry Farm before 9:00 AM to purchase Sticky and Pecan Rolls for our hungry cyclist so we will not be delayed waiting in line for the luscious treats! Please bring at least $5.00 to contribute to the bun expense!

GROUP LEVEL DESCRIPTION:

Starting at Ponce:

Group 4:  20+ Ride for the most Advanced riders who perform at challenging speeds and longer distances. 

Group 3: 18-20 Ride for Advanced riders who are ready to take their riding to the next level and want to enjoy and challenging and safe environment with leader support and ongoing coaching.

Group 2: 16-18 MPH LEADER-LED Ride for Experienced riders who are ready to take the next step to learning more advanced cycling skills like drafting, pace line etiquette at higher speeds, etc.

Starting at Deering Estate:

Group 1: Our 14-16 MPH LEADER LED ride will start/end from Deering Estate for this event. (GREAT ride for newer cyclists). Rider rules for safety, etiquette for riding in teams is reinforced and trained on this ride. 

Each group is lead by 2 ride leaders minimum, one ride leader in the front leading the group and one in the back sweeping. Our ride leaders are volunteer EBC members who have been certified to lead the EBC rides.
